Students’ testimonials

,,Going to Bulgaria on Erasmus was one of those trips that stay with you. I didn’t know what to expect, but it ended up being full of incredible places, random adventures, and way too many inside jokes. Between learning about a new culture, trying to pronounce Bulgarian words (badly), and figuring out how to be eco-friendly, I also found a group of people that turned the trip into something unforgettable.’’

‘’My Erasmus trip to Bulgaria was an unforgettable experience. I got to learn a lot about the Bulgarian culture. Whether it was discovering breathtaking views, diving into the country’s rich history, or understanding more about sustainability and how to protect our planet. But the best part was definitely the people, I made great friendships that I’ll always treasure. I am so thankful for all the laughs, all the shared moments and every second of it, and honestly, if I could, I’d do it all again.’’

‘’Bulgaria surprised me in the best way! From trying local food to figuring out the language on the fly. I met people who made the trip unforgettable and saw places I’d never even heard of before. It pushed me out of my bubble, and honestly, I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.’’

‘’On my Erasmus trip to Bulgaria, I got to learn a lot about the Bulgarian culture and language and had the opportunity to make a lot of great friendships and visit beautiful places. It was an amazing experience that I would love to repeat!’’

I am Radostina from the 6th grade. I took part in a school project, and as part of it, we visited Sofia and the Bulgarian Parliament. I was part of a group representing our school. There, we met a Member of Parliament from Rakovski – Mr. Mladen Shishkov. He welcomed us, showed us around the Parliament building, and told us about his work and responsibilities. It was very interesting to learn how laws are made and how the government works. During the project, I also made new friends from the Romanian and Portuguese groups who were participating in the same project. We also visited Telelink, where we were divided into mixed international teams. We learned about how important it is to care for nature and the environment. One of the fun activities we did was measuring the temperature of plants and understanding how technology can help protect nature. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget!

The welcoming of foreign classmates through the Erasmus program at our school was very exciting and fun. I met children from other countries, learned new things about their countries and cultures, and we managed to become friends. We played together, learned together, and had a great time. The most memorable experience for me was our trip to the capital of Bulgaria – Sofia. There, we visited the National Assembly, where my dad works. It was thrilling to enter the building, see the hall where important decisions are made, and explain to our guests how the Bulgarian parliament functions. I felt proud that my dad is part of this place. This visit made me more confident, taught me new things, helped me make new friends, and made me realize how important it is to respect cultural differences. It was an unforgettable experience!

Overall, I really liked the project. It was interesting to learn something about school systems outside of Bulgaria. We met the foreigners and got along very well. Most of them were very nice. I personally had never been to this part of Sofia before and had never seen the parliament. I was left with very good impressions from the preparation of the trip. We had a lot of fun on the bus. I am glad that I was one of the chosen representatives. I would be happy if they visit us again.

I was really impressed when the guests came to our school. The atmosphere felt different – more festive and exciting. I liked how everyone was putting in effort, and the guests seemed genuinely interested. They left a positive impression – they were friendly, calm, and made the whole visit memorable. It was a nice and slightly emotional experience. I’m glad we had the opportunity.

It was interesting and fun to be able to meet and make friends with new people from different countries. We told them about our culture, we talked, they learned something new about us and we learned something new about them. Not only did their visit to our school lead to wonderful friendships, but our time together was fantastic.

My impressions of the guests were that they were good, well-mannered and cultured. They were very smart and friendly. They knew English as if it were their first language. I was genuinely impressed by their overall demeanor and communication skills. It was a pleasure interacting with them, and I believe they left a very positive impression on everyone they met. They showed great interest and engagement throughout the event, asked thoughtful questions, and were respectful and considerate in every conversation.
